Andrew E.
Private tutor in Irving, TX
Education
Senior English Major/Math Minor at the University of Texas at Arlington
Experience
Regarding tests, I scored a 2130 on the SAT (breakdown: Writing-700, Reading-680, Math-750) a 5 on the AP Calculus AB and BC exams, and a 4 on the AP Physics, AP Biology, AP Music Theory, and AP English Writing exams. I have always enjoyed the teaching process and take great satisfaction from witnessing students overcome previously insurmountable hurdles in their learning experiences. Although my professional tutoring experience is limited to the past six months, and counting, that I've spent working in a local KUMON learning center, I have been tutoring my classmates and younger siblings since I was in elementary school. As is mentioned in the "Education" section of my bio, I am a senior student in English, and haven completed a minor in Mathematics. That is to say, in the Math department, I have completed college courses in Calculus I-III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Discrete Mathematics; and in the English department, I have completed many courses in the subjects of literature (British, American, Classical, Non-British European, and Multi-Cultural), in Writing (Composition, Creative Writing, and Advanced Creative Non-Fiction) in Literary Critical Theory, and in Grammar.
