Hello! My name is Gabrielle and I have spent the last four years honing my skills with the English language's structure and grammar. I hold two degrees in Linguistics and English from the University of Michigan, and have just completed a 45+ page Honors Thesis in Linguistics which was awarded Highest Honors. I also hold a 6 in GRE Analytical Writing, a 178 GRE Verbal, and an 800 SAT Writing. My experience as a tutor and proofreader is extensive; I have been employed for almost four years as a Writing Consultant with the University of Michigan Sweetland Writing Center. In this position, I assisted students in producing quality papers and assignments with perfect grammar and writing structure. I have consistently been awarded 5 stars for my interactions and assistance with our writers. As I have seen students from all disciplines, I am able to quickly acclimate and work with any genre of writing, from technical to colloquial. My qualifications also include instruction of English in both elementary and undergraduate settings. Currently, I am employed as an Instructional Associate with Tarrant College, supervising the Writing Center and providing writing instruction. I also worked for the University of Michigan as an English TA for two years. I also worked as a research instructor teaching freshman students how to develop strong skills in research, publication, and presentation. During this period I led many CV/resume workshops as well. Additionally, I have worked as a private tutor and proofreader outside my education at the University of Michigan. I have extensive references for the quality of work I provided during these positions. Furthermore, my own experience as a student studying English from both a literature and structural perspective has made me incredibly familiar with the rules of the language and how to apply them in effective writing. As both an English and Linguistics major, I know how to maintain the quality and special nature of your voice as a writer while perfecting its presentation with flawless grammar.
